Our commitment to you

At MoodPulse, your privacy is a top priority. Your privacy is at the heart of how we design and build the services and products you know and love, so that you can fully trust them and focus on making meaningful connections. We appreciate the trust you place in us when you provide us with information, and we don't take it lightly. We do not invade your privacy. We design all our products and services with your privacy in mind. We employ experts from a variety of fields - legal, security, engineering, product design - to ensure that any decisions are made without disrespecting your privacy. We strive to process your data in a transparent manner. Because we use many of the same online services as you, we know that insufficient information and overly complex language are common issues in privacy policies. We take the exact opposite approach: We have written our Privacy Policy and related documentation in plain language. We actually want you to read our policy and understand our privacy practices! We work hard to keep your information safe. Our team is dedicated to keeping your data safe. We continually update our security practices and invest in our security efforts to enhance the security of your information.

Privacy Policy

Welcome to the MoodPulse Privacy Policy. Thank you for taking the time to read it. We thank you for trusting us with your information, and we intend to keep that trust forever. The first step is to make sure you understand the information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have with it. This policy describes our privacy practices in plain language that minimizes legal and technical jargon. This Policy applies to MoodPulse's products and services, and you must read this Policy carefully, understand this Policy thoroughly, and give your full understanding and consent before using MoodPulse's products and services. This Policy applies when you begin to use any MoodPulse products or services, and you represent that you have fully understood and agreed to this Policy. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions regarding the contents of this Policy, please contact us using the various contact details provided by MoodPulse. This Privacy Policy applies as of November 22, 2023. Until then, previous versions of this Privacy Policy will apply. Effective Date: November 22, 2023.

1.Scope of application of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to apps operated by MoodPulse. For simplicity, we refer to them as our "Services" in this Privacy Policy. Some services may require their own unique privacy policy. If a particular service has its own privacy policy, that policy applies (not this Privacy Policy).

2.Information We collect

It goes without saying that we cannot help you make meaningful connections without some information about you, such as basic profile details and the types of people you want to get to know. We also collect information generated when you use our services, such as access logs, as well as information from third parties. If you need more information, we will go into detail below.

Registration Information

When you download the App and create an account ("Account"), we may collect certain information about you ("Registration Information"), such as: name, username, email address, date of birth, photo, location, and the login information for the social media account you are connected to for your MoodPulse account (this may include your Apple account, for example). See "Linking Other Accounts to MoodPulse" in Section 7 below for more information.

Archival Information

We recommend and encourage you to think carefully about the information you disclose about yourself. We also do not recommend that you place email addresses, URLs, instant messaging details, phone numbers, full names or addresses, credit card details, ID numbers, driver's license details, and other sensitive information on your profile that could be subject to abuse and misuse. When you post information about yourself or use messaging features to communicate with other users, the personal information you share is at your own risk. See Section 4 below for more information about who can access the content you post on MoodPulse.

Profile Verification Information

To be on the safe side and to ensure that you get the best user experience, we may ask users to verify their email accounts.

Information you provide to us

You choose to provide certain information to us when you use our Services. This includes:
When you create an account, you provide us with at least your login credentials, as well as some basic details needed for the service to operate, such as your gender and date of birth.
When you complete your profile, you may share additional information with us.
To add certain content (such as pictures or videos), you can give us access to your camera or album.
Some of the information you choose to provide us may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in some jurisdictions, such as your race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. By choosing to provide this information, you consent to our processing of that information.

If you contact our Customer Service team, we collect information that you provide to us during the interaction. Sometimes, we monitor or record these interactions for training purposes and to ensure high-quality service.

If you ask us to communicate with or otherwise process information about other people (for example, if you ask us to send an email to one of your friends on your behalf), we will collect information about other people that you provide to us in order to complete your request.

Of course, as part of the operation of the Service, we also process your chats with other users and the content you post.

Information we receive from others

In addition to the information you provide to us directly, we receive information about you from other users. Other users may supply details about you when they utilize our Services. For instance, if other users get in touch with us and share information regarding you, we may gather data about you through them.

Usage information

We collect information about your activities on our Services, such as how you use them (for example, the date and time you login, the features you have been using, searches, clicks, and pages visited) and how you interact with other users (for instance, the users you contact and your interactions with them, the times and dates of communications, and the number of messages you send and receive).

Device Information

We collect information about the devices you use to access our Services, including:
Hardware and software information, such as IP address, device ID and type, device-specific and app settings and characteristics, app crashes, AD IDs (like Apple's IDFA, which are randomly generated numbers that you can reset through device settings), browser type, version and language, operating system, time zone.
Identifiers linked to cookies or other potentially unique technologies that recognize your device or browser (e.g., IMEI/UDID and MAC address).

Other information with your consent

We may collect your photos and videos (for example, if you want to post a photo or video on the service).

3.How do we collect and store your information

We use, and may permit others to use, cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels) to identify you and/or your device. You can read our Cookie Policy to learn more about why we use them (such as verifying your identity, remembering your preferences and settings, analyzing website traffic and trends, allowing you to use social features). Certain web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) have a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") feature that informs websites that users do not want their online activities tracked. If a website that responds to a DNT signal receives a DNT signal, the browser can block that website from gathering specific data about the browser user. However, not all browsers offer DNT options, and DNT signals are not yet standardized. Consequently, many businesses, including MoodPulse, currently do not respond to DNT signals.

4.How do we use information

The main reason we use your information is to provide and improve our services. In addition, we use your information to help ensure your safety. Please read on for a more detailed explanation of the various reasons we use your information, as well as practical examples.     1.Manage your account and provide you with our Services     2.Create and manage your account     3.Provide you with customer support and respond to your requests     4.Complete your transactions     5.Communicate with you about our services, including order management and billing     6.Helping you connect with other users     7.Display users' profiles related to each other     8.Ensuring a consistent experience between your devices     9.Link the various devices you use so that you can enjoy a consistent experience of our services across all your devices. We do this by linking device and browser data, such as when you log into your account on different devices, or by using partial or complete IP addresses, browser versions, and similar data about your devices to help identify and link them.     10.Conduct research and analysis of user behavior to improve our services and content (for example, we may decide to change the look and feel or even significantly modify a given feature based on user behavior)     11.Develop new features and services (for example, we may decide to further develop new interest-based features based on requests we receive from users)     12.Prevent, detect, and combat fraud or other illegal or unauthorized activities     13.Address ongoing or alleged misconduct on or off the Platform     14.Perform data analysis to better understand and design responses to these activities     15.Retain data related to fraudulent activity to prevent recurrence     16.Ensure legal compliance     17.Comply with legal requirements     18.Assist law enforcement or exercise of our rights. For example, our Terms.

In order to process your information in the manner described above, we rely on the following legal basis: To provide you with our services, most of the time, the reason we process your information is to fulfill a contract you have entered into with us. For example, when you use our services to establish meaningful contacts, we use your information to maintain your account and profile, to make it available for other users to view, and to refer you to other users.

5.How do we share information

Since our goal is to help you make meaningful connections, the primary sharing of user information is, of course, with other users. Read on for more detailed information on how we share your information with others.

With other Users

When you voluntarily disclose information about the Services, including your public profile, you share that information with other users. Please treat your information with care and make sure that what you share is what you are willing to view publicly, because once you have shared your information, neither you nor we have control over what others do with your information. If you choose to restrict all or part of your profile or the audience for certain content or information about you, then it will be visible based on your Settings.

For corporate Transactions

We may transfer your information if we participate, in whole or in part, in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or other change of ownership or control. When required by law. We may disclose your information if reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government/law enforcement investigation, or other legal requirement; (ii) to assist in the prevention or detection of crime (in each case subject to applicable law); And (iii) to protect the safety of any person.

Exercising legal rights

We may also share information when: (i) disclosure would mitigate our liability in actual or threatened litigation; (ii) necessary to protect our legal rights and the legal rights of our users, business partners, or other interested parties; (iii) to enforce our agreement with you; And (iv) to investigate, prevent, or take other action against illegal activity, suspected fraud, or other misconduct.

6.How do we protect your information

We strive to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Like all technology companies, although we take steps to protect your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information will always remain secure. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and regularly review our information collection, storage, and processing practices to update our physical, technical, and organisational security measures. If we suspect or discover any security breaches, we may suspend your use of all or part of the Services without notice. If you believe that your account or information is no longer secure, please notify us immediately.

7.How long we retain your information

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes (as described in Section 5 and as permitted by applicable law). In order to protect the security of our users both on and off our services, we have implemented a one-year security retention window after account deletion. During this time, account information will be retained, although the account is, of course, no longer visible on the service. In practice, we will delete or anonymize your information at the time of deletion of your account (after the security retention window) or after two years of continuous inactivity, unless: We must retain it to demonstrate our compliance with applicable law (for example, consent to our terms, privacy policy, and other similar consent for record-keeping for five years); unresolved issues, claims, or disputes require us to retain the information in question until it is resolved; or it must be retained for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention and enhanced security for our users. For example, information may need to be retained to prevent new accounts from being opened by users who have been banned due to unsafe behavior or security incidents. Keep in mind that although our systems are designed to perform a data deletion process in accordance with the above guidelines, we cannot commit to deleting all data within a specific timeframe due to technical limitations.

8.Cross-border data transfers

Information sharing sometimes involves the transfer of data across borders. We use standard contractual clauses approved by the appropriate regulatory authority to allow the transfer of data from one jurisdiction to another. Standard contractual terms are commitments between companies that transfer personal data, binding them to protect the privacy and security of your data.

9.Your rights

We want you to be in control of your information, so we've provided you with the following tools:

Access/update the tools in the Service

Tools and account Settings help you access, correct, or delete information that you have provided to us and that is directly associated with your account in the Services. If you have any questions about these tools and Settings, please contact our customer Service team for assistance here.

Device Permissions

Mobile platforms have permission systems for specific types of device data and notifications, such as phone books and location services, as well as push notifications. You can change the Settings on your device to consent or object to the collection of the corresponding information or to the display of the corresponding notifications. Of course, if you do this, some services may lose their full functionality.

Delete

You can delete your account directly by using the appropriate feature on the service. We want you to understand your privacy rights. Here are a few key points to keep in mind:

Review your information

Applicable privacy laws may give you the right to view the personal information we retain about you (depending on the jurisdiction, this may be called the right of access, the right of portability, or variations of these terms). You can make a request here for a copy of your personal information.

Update your information

If you believe that the information we hold about you is inaccurate or that we no longer have the right to use the information and would like to request a correction, deletion, or object to its processing, please contact us here. To protect your safety, as well as that of all our users, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity before we can answer the above requests. Keep in mind that we may deny requests for certain reasons, including whether the request is illegal or may infringe trade secrets or intellectual property rights or the privacy of other users. If you wish to receive information related to another user, such as a copy of any message you receive from him or her through our Services, the other user must contact our Privacy Officer to provide written consent before the information is posted. In addition, we may not be able to satisfy certain requests against the processing of personal information, especially if such requests do not allow us to provide the services to you any longer. For example, uninstall. You can uninstall the app using your device's standard uninstall process to stop all information collected by the app. If you uninstall the app from your mobile device, the unique identifier associated with your device will continue to be stored. If you reinstall the app on the same mobile device, we will be able to re-associate this identifier with your previous transactions and activities. If we do not have your date of birth, we will not be able to provide the service.

10.Changes to Privacy policy

Because we are always looking for new and innovative ways to help you make meaningful connections, this policy may change over time. We will notify you of any material changes before they go into effect so that you have time to review the changes.
